Hi, I'm confused that I purchased the visionaire5 pro under the softwareagreement before 2023. Can I still enjoy the old policy of developing commercial games and release each of them without having to purchase separate licenses which i had since bf 2023? thank you.
Hi, yes – if you purchased the Visionaire 5 Pro license before 2023, the original terms still apply for desktop platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux). That means you can continue to release commercial games for these platforms without needing to purchase additional licenses.
Quick note: We’ve updated our licensing model recently to ensure we have more financial flexibility for ongoing development and improvements.

Hi Sorry I have a question, so if I get the 75 euros Visionaire, I get the full software except if I want to publish anything commercially I need to pay an extra licence for every game I release? and the 150 package only lets me put one game for sale right?
Hi! Yes, exactly – with the €75 license, you get the full software without any limitations for development, including all updates and future versions. However, if you want to publish your game commercially, you’ll need a separate distribution license per game.
The €150 package includes both the unlimited software license and a dgital distribution license for one commercial game – ideal if you’re planning to release a project or already know you will.
With this model, we aim to finance the ongoing development of the engine while also creating a fair solution for everyone – whether you’re working on hobby projects or planning a commercial release.
If you decide later on to publish a game commercially, you can of course purchase the distribution license separately at any time.
And unlike many other engines, we don’t charge revenue shares or recurring subscription fees.
